Here at Ecology.com/kids we want to inspire you to help the planet you call home…Earth.
By presenting fun, informative stories and articles, we want to show you what a special place Earth is. Earth takes care of us by supplying us with food, water, and oxygen. But sometimes we forget, and try to change the Earth too much which causes problems like pollution, climate change, extinctions, etc. We want to inspire you, our readers, to put the Earth first and be an inspiration for others to do the same.
We want to inspire you to learn more about the fabulous Planet Earth. Because knowledge is power, and the more you know, the better decisions you will make. The Earth can’t tell you when something’s wrong. You must be able to see the problems and use your brain to come up with solutions to those problems.
We want to inspire you to get out in nature and get dirty. You learn to appreciate Earth even more by climbing a mountain, skipping stones on a lake, or exploring a cave. Once you get your “hands on” nature it becomes a part of you, and you’ll want to protect it even more.
We want to inspire you to get involved, at any level to protect Earth, your home for many years to come. While we walk this planet, we can take little steps like recycling garbage and conserving energy. Or we can take big steps like starting up an eco-blog or building a park. Small or large, these steps all lead us to even more awareness of life around us.
The bottom line is that we want to inspire you to love your home, Planet Earth. We want you to make good decisions about how you plan to treat it for the rest of your life. After all, kid power is the best sustainable, all natural, 100 percent renewable resource we have.
