This collection focuses on rain water as a life sustaining gift of nature – something we take for granted, and something that is rapidly disappearing.
Neal Morell
After earning a Bachelor of Fine Art in film from Emerson College in 1988, Neal moved to Los Angeles, driving equipment trucks on non-union commercials until he could break in as an assistant cameraman. Since joining the International Cinematographers Guild, he has worked on hundreds of national television spots, dozens of television shows, and films such as Zoolander, Dark Blue, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Island, Norbit, Meet Dave, Rocky Balboa and Larry Crowne. He continues to freelance as an assistant cameraman on features and episodic television, and has shot a number of short films and promos in the digital video format since 2003.
Although film was his first love, Neal began shooting still photographs soon after moving to LA. What began as a collection of black & white landscapes has blossomed into a portfolio that includes head shots, portraits, action & sports, jewelry, wild life, events, architecture and macro images that reveal the splendor and delicate detail of plants and flowers. His creative clients include painters, sculptors and artisans of all kinds. His corporate clients range from law and architectural firms in LA to larger corporations such as BBDO and American Express.
Neal’s goal is to continue to create beautiful and compelling images that not only result in revenue, but that also inspire the higher nature in people of all cultures and backgrounds. As always, he’s looking for the next client whose image he can help refine.
