According to a CNN poll conducted May 21-23 and released yesterday, 76 percent of respondents disapproved of the way BP has handled the situation in the Gulf of Mexico, and 51 percent disapproved of the Obama administration’s performance.
Fifty-seven percent still favored “increased drilling for oil and natural gas offshore in U.S. waters,” although that number was down 17 percent since August 2008 and the “drill, baby, drill” presidential campaign of McCain/Palin .
