Biomimicry is the art and science of drawing upon nature as inspiration to solve to design problems in a sustainable way.

Among the most notable proponents of this new and rapidly growing field is Janine Benyus, author of six books on the subject, co-founder of the Biomimicry Guild, and president of the Biomimicry Institute.

This week, Friday Night at the Movies features an absolutely fascinating talk by Janine Benyus from TED2005.
